GENT’S WRISTWATCH:
A GENT’S WRISTWATCH is designed to be worn around the wrist, attached by a watch strap or other type of bracelet, such as metal bands, or leather straps, or any other type of bracelet.
A watch should be worn loosely enough to allow full wrist movement. When standing comfortably, your watch should not protrude from beneath your shirt cuff. It should only appear when you bend your arm.
The general rule is to wear your watch on the wrist opposite your dominant hand. The right hand is dominant in three-quarters or more of the world. Those individuals would wear their watches on their left wrist.
- Mechanical movements never require batteries because they must be wound on a regular basis.
- Automatic watches are self-winding with a spring inside, there is no battery, and this type of watch requires very little maintenance.
