Digital Clock

Digital Clock:

A digital clock, as opposed to an analog clock, displays the time digitally (i.e. in numerals or other symbols). Digital clocks are easier to read in stressful, time-sensitive situations, and some digital models include a countdown timer to help people keep track of the time. They can assist in getting students to their next class on time. During medical procedures, medical personnel can rely on the countdown timer.

Most digital alarm clocks have a backup battery, so you won’t lose your alarm settings if the power goes out. Digital alarm clocks are typically more accurate than analogue alarm clocks. Many digital alarm clocks include extra features such as a calendar and a temperature display.

The goal of the project is to create a twelve-hour Digital Clock that displays the time digitally, as opposed to an analogue clock, which displays the time by the positions of rotating hands. A digital clock that displays time in hours, minutes, and seconds can be built using counters and decoders.
